The Problem

Support endangered monarch caterpillars and butterflies.

Our Plan

Our club and two upper grade classes would like to take on a project to grow CA native milkweeds (narrowleaf milikweeds) to support monarchs (caterpillars and butterflies). Using the Monarch Fellowship and National Wildlife Federation resources as guides, we will create a habitat garden for monarchs to lay eggs, grow, eat, drink rest and mature. The long term goal is for our school to become a "monarch fellowship hub" where we would grow narrowleaf milkweeds to give to the local community.
