The Problem
We want to fix the problem of trash and plastic pollution on Miami’s beaches. This pollution harms marine animals like sea turtles and manatees and damages fragile ecosystems. It also affects the health and enjoyment of the local community and visitors. By organizing beach cleanups, we aim to remove litter, protect wildlife, and raise awareness about keeping our beaches clean.
Our Plan
We are planning to organize regular beach cleanups in Miami, where volunteers will collect trash and plastic waste from the shoreline. We will document the amount and types of litter collected to raise awareness about pollution. Additionally, we will share tips with the community on how to reduce single-use plastics and properly dispose of waste. Through these efforts, we aim to protect marine wildlife, improve the local environment, and encourage responsible behavior.
