The Problem

Many rural schools lack access to sustainable and affordable educational supplies. Because of limited funding and availability, classrooms often rely on single-use plastics and disposable materials that create waste and strain tight school budgets. This not only harms the environment but also prevents students from learning how sustainability can be part of their everyday education.

Our Plan

The action we are planning is to develop a program that makes classroom supplies both sustainable and affordable for rural schools. We will create eco-friendly classroom kits using recycled and locally sourced materials, such as reusable notebooks, refillable pens, and other biodegradable supplies. Alongside providing these more sustainable materials, we plan to host educational workshops that teach students and teachers how to reduce waste, reuse materials, and understand the importance of sustainability in everyday life.
