The Problem

Often students feel unsure how to tackle climate conservation despite being passionate about the topic. Many are overwhelmed by the scale of the climate crisis or believe their individual actions won’t make a difference. Additionally, a lack of accessible education on conservation methods—beyond the basics such as reducing waste, beach cleanups, and conserving energy—leaves many unsure where to start. Without clear guidance or platforms to channel their passion, students often remain passive despite their concern for the planet.

Our Plan

GreenScience is a student-oriented online magazine focused on environmental conservation that shares student authored stories. Our philosophy is that everyone can be an environmentalist. We believe making a difference does not have to be a daunting task of a certain form. Sometimes it can look like teaching a village to square dance to prevent poachers. Perhaps in other scenarios it means learning about evolving tech options. Thus GreenScience is a combined effort to both encourage student advocacy and to make student conservation seem less daunting.
