The Problem
You may have seen Sir David Attenborough’s documentaries. If you are someone who has studied biology or zoology, I am sure such documentaries are fascinating to you. But why is that? In my opinion, one of the things that draws all of us toward protecting the environment is biodiversity. There is nothing more beautiful and surprising than the moment you encounter a creature you have never seen before, even though you are almost certain there is nothing new left to discover about biodiversity. One of the things that reminds us how much we must value biodiversity—and how difficult it would be to go back if we lose it—is awareness.
