Fall Leaves: A Lesson in Biodiversity

  • Location
    West sayville, New York
  • Status
    Active
  • Age Level
    4 and Under

The Problem

People don't always notice the many different kinds of leaves and trees in our community. We want to learn about them and take care of them.

Our Plan

We will find a variety of fallen leaves, identify them, and document them in our leaf journals. We will explore all the differences in colors, shapes, sizes, and textures. By learning through play, we will introduce the kids to the importance of biodiversity.
