The Problem
1) Native cavity nesting birds have minimal nesting options. 2) The school garden beds were built about 6 years ago and need some attention. Some of the wood and the hail screen need to be replaced while also adding new compost and soil.
Our Plan
To have all 150+ students build and assembly nesting boxes for local birds. We received a grant from another organization to pay for the lumber and will use the $200 mini-grant to pay for the hardware for these bird houses. Any remaining money will go towards revitalizing the school gardens!
