The Problem
Too much litter makes it to our riverside, which eventually will end up damaging the mangroves and aquatic plants and animals, eventually arriving in the ocean.
Our Plan
Monthly community clean ups that encourage all ages and abilities. We will gather litter and dispose of it properly and safely to keep it out of the Brisbane river.

Here is how the project went:
We collected 6kg of litter and made new friends in our community who want to keep helping on the next one!
Through this project I/we learned:
I learned that people who might be quiet, just need some space and still everyone shows their interest differently and that's ok.
What I/we might change:
We will do this project again each month and add information about who we are ahead of time, so we feel more familiar.
My/our favorite part of this project was:
Knowing we aren't alone in feeling good by taking action.
