Joshua is a dedicated student with an impressive decade-long commitment to Roots & Shoots service projects. Joshua’s passion shines through in his many impactful initiatives.
Joshua’s current focus is ending “diaper poverty,” ensuring all members of the community have access to diapers to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy.
Teaming up with his brother, Joshua successfully lobbied to eliminate the diaper tax in Maryland, which now saves families a staggering $12 million annually. His vision extends to empowering young advocates nationwide, teaching them the art of lobbying and advocating for change, with the goal of eliminating diaper taxes in the 28 states that still impose them.
In addition to his service projects, Joshua enjoys playing tennis for his high school varsity team and exploring STEM research. To wind down, he loves spending time with friends, watching movies, and exploring diverse cuisines.
