Roots & Shoots History: Three years with Roots & Shoots
Roots & Shoots Group: Joy of Music
Joseph is a Freshman at Claremont McKenna College. This is his second year on the National Youth Leadership Council. Joseph is a talented musician, and he uses his passion to bring music to the people of his community. His favorite project was working with his Roots & Shoots group – Joy of Music to provide music lessons to youth in his community, as well as a mentoring program to help boost their self-confidence. On the weekends, Joseph and his groups: Dreams Quartet of Omaha and Joy of Music perform for residents in senior living communities. In addition to spreading compassion through music, Joseph also enjoys volunteering at a Women’s hospital.
