Carolyn is an inspiring student leader dedicated to reducing environmental harm through innovative education and outreach.
Carolyn’s main project, “A Sustainable Future,” engages students in researching and implementing paper-saving practices in schools, aiming to expand this program to all U.S. states.
She also organizes a youth climate conference and leads community efforts to advance sustainability and STEM education.
Outside of Roots & Shoots, Carolyn excels in speech and debate, participates in environmental research, and enjoys reading, knitting, and hiking. She is the founder of Anywear Anysquare, an organization focused on environmental and social equity.
A Chinese idiom inspires Carolyn: “The prairie fire burns the grass, but the grass will grow again with the spring breeze,” symbolizing resilience and renewal.
