Sophia Clark

I am 17 years old and live in Vermont. I love to work hands-on and be creative. I grew up on an organic, regenerative agriculture-based, family-owned farm, and have come to appreciate all the things I have in my life. I am so fortunate and wish for all life to have peace, equality, and safety.

I think equality is so essential in this world and I believe that everyone should have a voice and an equal opportunity.

I believe that the future is bright even when some scientists may tell us it’s not.

I believe that world poverty, global warming, wars, and future pandemics will not have to be a part of the everyday norm. 

My generation is much different from the last. SO much has changed; so many things have evolved (some for the better, some for worse). 

And yet, I still have so much hope, despite the chaos around me.

I truly wish for humankind, Mother Earth, and all living things to find peace.

I believe that if we work together, we may rise up and embrace all the beauty that is out there. Because, I know there is beauty, we just have to heal our own pain and sufferings that we’ve brought unto ourselves to see it. 

This universe is full of endless possibilities.

But time is running out… and If all the World Wars, Depressions, Pandemics, and Global Warming aren’t enough to wake us up and realize what we’ve been doing as a society isn’t working, I fear what will…

So, to whoever is reading this, stay strong. Stay true to yourself. Stand up for what you believe in and always remember that CHANGE IS POSSIBLE!
