GreenTeens101 is a group of teenagers working together to reduce the amount of plastic in the environment. We want to stop people from using the plastic bags given out at almost every store in exchange for using reusable cloth bags. These reusable cloth bags are a lot better for the environment than plastic bags and even paper bags. We want you to stop using plastic bags and start using reusable bags! You may think nothing lasts forever, but plastic does.
This project will reduce the amount of plastic bags in the environment by reaching out to people at stores. We will stand outside of some stores handing out free reusable bags for people to use instead of the plastic bags. We have already done this at a ShopRite and Food Emporium, and we hope to go to even more places soon.
