The Problem
Fix the problem of beach pollution, by protecting our oceans and sands through self-led or community-led cleanups. Beach cleanups can reduce litter, protect our ocean and raise awareness about harmful environmental litter and plastic pollution. This project will be ongoing, and encourage anyone who goes to the beach, to do their part to keep it clean! Tasks include safely cleaning up beach pollution, stop ocean pollution, and promote "Leave No Trace" acts of kindness while enjoying the sand and ocean waves.
Our Plan
The goal is to encourage long-term self-led or community-led beach cleanups across the world. ALL ARE WELCOME TO JOIN! When you are out enjoying the beach, simple acts such as putting your trash in the proper disposals and using designated boardwalks instead of walking across fenced dune systems can help keep our beaches healthy. When you take a “Leave No Trace” approach, and pick up not just your trash, but other trash laying around the beach - Acts of kindness are contagious. Your actions will help you enjoy the beach while reducing the impact that you leave, and encourage others to clean up our beaches as well.
