The Problem

Campaign to make our trash cans bear safe. Local black bears are teaching their young to scavenge in people's trash cans. People are making the problem worse by keeping cans out the night before. Bear Human enounters are increasing and the bears are learning to eat food and plastic thats harmful to them.

Our Plan

mobilize the community to ask Waste Management to make cans bear safe. Spread awareness in the community about the harmful effects of the trash cans being left outside. Plant more berry bushes so bears have food sources other than trash.
