The Problem
Our school is located near a major highway corridor where air pollution, noise pollution, and the effects of climate change impact the health of people, wildlife, and the environment. Limited tree canopy and green infrastructure reduce opportunities for carbon capture, habitat creation, and natural cooling. We want to increase the number of trees on campus to improve environmental quality, support biodiversity, enhance community well-being, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Our Plan
We will plant 25 eucalyptus trees to represent each newly enrolled student as part of our annual \"For Every Child, A Tree\" initiative. Students, teachers, and families will participate in planting and caring for the trees, creating a living legacy that grows alongside our school community. The eucalyptus trees will help improve air quality, absorb carbon dioxide, reduce noise pollution, provide habitat for wildlife, create shade, and strengthen the ecological health of our campus while promoting environmental stewardship and sustainability.
