The Problem

As a lifelong lover of butterflies, Monarchs especially, I joined the Monarch Watch Program to help promote healthy and natural growth during all cycles of the Monarch and to tag them so that they can be tracked on their 3000 mile trip to Mexico in an effort to help understand the journey. Also to be able to create/identify where they stop to rest and eat and about how many of them actually make the entire journey. Monarch populations are dwindling due to loss of habitat, predators and pollution/pesticides.

Our Plan

Our group comprised of and open to all ages, genders, ethnicities, abilities in the hopes to help increase the number of monarchs that live and eventually fly off tagged so that they can be tracked to help support their conservation. We will provide them with a place to grow, reproduce, and transform safely with shelter, food, and other pollinators.
