The Problem
The city of Stephenville and its surrounding regions are currently undergoing significant growth as Tarleton State University expands its student enrollment. This community was not originally structured to accommodate such a large population, and the corresponding adverse effects on both residents and the environment can't be ignored. Issues such as food insecurity, housing instability, social division between the university demographic and the local community, increased traffic congestion, pollution, heightened water consumption, and the necessity for infrastructure development, resulting in diminished natural spaces, must be addressed.
