The Problem

Our first “Two Feet and Four Paws” event is a meaningful step forward, and we’re beginning with a cause that reflects where it all started. We’ve always believed in staying rooted in who we are—a community built on compassion, connection, and the understanding that animals have a quiet power to change lives. We realize animals often reach places in the heart that words can’t, and their presence has shaped so much of what we do. To honor that foundation, we’re collecting wish list items for SAAP (Stray Animal Adoption Program), the organization that helped Charley find her way into our lives. Her adoption story is more than a memory—it’s part of our origin. Charley’s journey inspired me to adopt River, who is the heart behind our therapy dog program and continues to remind us why this work matters. This event is a tribute to her, and to the many animals still waiting for homes of their own. It’s also a way to support the foster families who show up every day with love, patience, and hope. We’ll never forget the cold January day Charley went home with Allison. She’s grown into a resilient companion—and a mostly patient big sister to Trapper, one of our therapy dogs at Conner Middle. Trapper is currently enjoying a break from school, spending extra time at home with Charley which she loves. By giving back to SAAP, we’re honoring Charley’s roots and supporting the mission that brought her to us. Their work continues to make a difference, and we’re proud to be part of that story.

Our Plan

Throughout October, we’re collecting new items to donate to SAAP (Stray Animal Adoption Program) in time for their next adoption event—happening October 25th at the Greenhills Harvest Fest! SAAP’s Wish List: Pet food & treats Cat litter Pet toys Animal crates Grooming supplies Paper towels Newspaper Clorox wipes or Clorox Clean-Up spray We’ll host a donation drop-off on Sunday, October 19th from 2pm-4pm (location will be in NKY and is TBD) and Saturday, October 25th at 11am at event location (Greenhills Commons - 24 Farragut Road, Cincinnati), or we’re happy to arrange a personal pickup before the event. Let’s come together to support the foster families and pets who need us most. Every item makes a difference!
