The Problem
The problem we want to fix is the amount of waste and garbage being thrown and littered on land. This trash is invading animals homes, which can cause disease or death. Animals can get tangled up in trash bags, they can accidentally eat or inhale plastic, and they could eat toxins from almost empty cans of food or, for instance, cigarette buds. There are many ways animals can die from litter. But litter can also affect the community. Litter and trash on land will harm the value of the property. The problem we want to fix is the amount of trash in our local parks.
