Our Plan

We will provide painted pots with herbs and seeds so that people get to grow some of their own cooking ingredients.

Here is how the project went:

We were able to prepare for 3 produce distributions, giving away about 40 pots each day. We helped about 120 people in our community by providing free herbs.

Through this project I/we learned:

Something we learned is that the real success of our project depends on the people who receive the pots. It is up to them to care for the seeds enough that they grow or continue to sprout.

What I/we might change:

Something we might work on changing is providing more sprouts in pots instead of just seeds to prove that with proper care, the seeds can sprout. It may also be a good idea to display a paper with plant care tips.

My/our favorite part of this project was:

Our favorite part of this project was decorating the pots. Many people were intrigued with the color and designs displayed. Our scholars were also happy to showcase their artistic abilities.

When growing any type of plant it's important to do your research on how to care for it and be patient with its growth.
