The Problem
The Black Lake Dog Project is to inspire indigenous youth to create a sustainable dog population management program in their community. The youth in this community have had to endure the possibility of their dogs being culled by means of shooting to help manage the dog population issues that are present in their community. With no vet services available to the community, the health and safety of people are affected by the over population of dogs. The Dog Project has been created along with a team of youth to help elevate the dog population, health and welfare of both people and animals in their community.
