Victoria is a resolute leader committed to fostering cross-cultural connections and urging action towards immigration reform.
Victoria works as a law intern in New York, assisting migrants and immigrants across the U.S. as they navigate the asylum process.
Victoria’s work shows her commitment to humanitarian relief and public service as she works within the complicated U.S. immigration system. Her experiences have transformed her approach to community service, and affirm her plans to study law in the future. She is also developing a Roots & Shoots project centered around supporting asylum seekers locally and educating individuals on immigrant rights.
Outside of Roots & Shoots, Victoria studies Political Science at college and enjoys crocheting, baking, and working out. In support of Dr. Jane Goodall’s vision, she represented the Roots & Shoots Youth Council USA at a conference in Medellín, Columbia which brought together Latin American Roots & Shoots youth groups to collaborate and support each other’s initiatives.
Victoria puts her advice simply: “Be brave enough to start, brave enough to fail, and brave enough to try again.”
