Jared is an accomplished outdoor enthusiast whose volunteer work embodies a commitment to environmental stewardship. His efforts include trail work, beach cleanups, and raising awareness about food preservation and waste management.
Jared started a local, used sporting gear exchange, and used a project grant from Roots & Shoots to expand his impact.
Co-founded with his brother, Jared’s exchange project collects, sanitizes, and refurbishes used baseball equipment, benefitting hundreds in its third year. Jared, a leader in the Outdoors Club and Food Club at his high school, also enjoys playing on a competitive travel baseball team, traveling, and cherishing moments with his dog, Cody.
Jared is excited to be part of the RSYC and looks forward to surrounding himself with fellow student change-makers. “I find hope in seeing random acts of kindness in my community and my life,” he says.
