Iveena has been actively shaping environmental awareness and action within her community. Two years ago, she co-founded her school’s Roots & Shoots Club, which has since grown to be an impactful force.
Under Iveena’s leadership, her Roots & Shoots club’s podcast reaches listeners on 6 continents, making environmentalism accessible.
Through a range of projects, the club has fundraised, donated books, and organized events to engage the school. Iveena also created an environmental database, valuing technology’s role in facilitating action.
Iveena is also involved in materials science research, organizes a Youth Environmental Summit, participates in Speech & Debate, and plays the violin.
Iveena enjoys running, exploring trails with family and friends, and spending time at the beach and boardwalk. While her state faces unique climate challenges, Iveena draws inspiration from “the youth environmental movement, and the passion we share!”
