Christian is a values-driven young leader with a passion for the environment and working with kids. From participating in Boy Scouts to founding his own peer tutoring and mentoring groups, he’s nurtured his lifelong love of volunteering.
Christian started an after school program at a local elementary school to teach students about the environment and why it’s worth protecting.
He hopes to include environmental art projects and to expand the program to other schools in the district by 2025.
Christian keeps busy by tutoring at the local elementary school, rehearsing for school plays, taking nature photographs and Bible studies. Christian’s faith drives his desire to take care of our planet. He also loves documentaries about environmental issues, some of which have inspired his decision to become a vegetarian.
On what inspires him, Christian says: “I believe that God has shown us amazing grace and kindness, so we should do the same to others.”
