Christian is a values-driven young leader with a passion for the environment and working with kids.
Christian is the founder and president of the Roots & Shoots chapter at his high school which has involved leading a student board in effectively planning environmental and community projects.
The club has engaged the school community in gardening, river cleanups and campus recycling. In addition, Christian is an active member of the Los Angeles Roots & Shoots Basecamp, participating in large community events and serving on the advisory board.
Outside of school studies and Roots & Shoots, you can find Christian volunteering, rehearsing for school plays, teaching children’s church, taking his dog on a walk, or going on a bike ride to a local coffee shop. He continues to tutor at local elementary schools and to take nature photographs.
About his experience with Roots & Shoots, Christian says: “I have realized that one person has the power to positively change the way someone else thinks about the environment and together can continue to make a huge difference.”
