Adrija is a dynamic college student who seeks to increase educational equity with her Roots & Shoots projects.
Adrija’s primary project, Science4Students, aims to provide hands-on science kits and experiences to students lacking such opportunities.
Started during the pandemic, this initiative merges her passion for science with the goal of enhancing education accessibility and equity. Adrija has also started teaching engaging workshops for children with chronic illnesses.
Outside of Roots & Shoots, Adrija writes scripts for a South Asian theater group, paints for dorm and house decoration, reads mystery novels and rom-coms, hikes, and travels. Notably, she was a recipient of the National Honors Society National Semifinalist Scholarship and Valedictorian of her graduating high school class.
