Biography

I am a passionate educator, expedition leader, and conservationist. I have over 8 years of international teaching experience in countries such as Spain, Nicaragua, Colombia, Australia, and Canada. In addition, I have also led several student expedition trips and study abroad programs in countries across Southeast Asia, Africa, and Europe adhering to an experiential learning philosophy. I aim to foster young innovators, environmental stewards, and a deep love for learning and exploration.

In addition to my teaching career, I am a conservation PADI divemaster with a specialty certification in coral restoration. My previous job involved 100+ days of at-sea professional work experience. My role at sea was as a Crown of Thornes Control Specialist Diver in the Great Barrier Reef, Australia. This job involved 4 dives a day, either scuba or free-dive, as well as conducting plankton sampling, data collection, manta-towing observation, reef assessments, and coral health monitoring. This role also involved daily deckhand duties including rope handling, anchoring, mooring, diver lookouts, watchkeeping, cleaning, and maintenance of the vessel.

I am continuously seeking opportunities to work across fields to enhance my skillsets in the education, conservation, and travel sectors. I aim to intertwine social and environmental justice efforts with education for future generations.

I am relentlessly curious and optimistic for a greener and more sustainable future.
