Hi, I’m Maya and I’ve always had a strong desire to help animals in need. I have always had a passion for animals since I was little and it is something that has carried me through my life. When I am older I want to become a veterinarian. I believe it is important to take care of those who do not have a voice. I have volunteered and have tried to stay connect with animal care groups or zoos in my area. This summer I had an internship at the Bronx zoo and enjoyed my time caring for the animals. I am grateful for opportunities as such.
