Biography |
Hello! My name in Sara. I am an environmental educator in Maryland, USA. I teach programs to the public of all ages ranging from toddlers to retirees. The goal of all my programs is to get members of the community to care for conservation topics and often times get them involved in our community science research programs. I work alongside a freshwater tidal marsh so often times we are out on the water learning all about aquatic habitats and conservation. It is always a great immersive experience that leaves our guests in awe of nature, which in turn is a great experience for me!
My previous professional experience consists of a wide range of things within the research and educational fields. My most inspiring position, however, is when I did an independent study in the Peruvian Amazon under the guidance of my undergraduate research mentor and peccary expert. I am fascinated by the tropics and share a overflowing passion for the rainforest.
