Biography |
I feel the most alive and inspired when I am outside working with plants, exploring, interacting with nature and observing nature. Nature was where I found my solace and inspiration when I was growing up in New York State and it still is.
In college, I started out as a biology major, but after I married and moved to a farm, I switched to an education major in elementary and middle school science and math. After a few years teaching in a traditional school in North Carolina, I moved to Oregon, learned primitive living skills, and took a job as a year-round wilderness guide and teacher for troubled youth.
I became quite ill due to drinking bad water, so I moved to Florida to be with family. While living in Florida, I’ve worked as a native plant landscaper and a school teacher. I am now semi-retired and want to be involved with the youth in my community in working on some of our local environmental issues.
