Hello, my name is Madeline Shumaker. I’m 17 years old from Northwest, Ohio. I’m currently a junior in high school. I plan on attending college to study Environmental Science. I live along the Maumee River, which is a major input of water into Lake Erie, one of the five Great Lakes. Over the past 4 years I have been doing research projects about water quality, specifically algae blooms. In my free time I enjoying running, going for hikes, and just exploring the natural world around me.
