Biography |
I work at the Oklahoma Biological Survey, which is part of the University of Oklahoma, where I teach. I study aquatic organisms (algae and invertebrates) and land snails. My research includes biodiversity, stream ecology, urban ecology and human impacts. I enjoy field research.
Earlier, I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Thailand and Cameroon – doing aquaculture. I also spent 4 years working in New Zealand on human impacts in streams and before that spent 2 years working in a rice lake for a Native American band in Wisconsin.
