Biography |
I grew up between the snowy granite peaks of the Sierra Nevada and the wild cresting waves of the Pacific. My sense of place is now in sunny southern Oregon, between the towering redwoods and the sunset flats of the great basin. In between, there were decades of work with cows, horses and farms in Britain and Scandanavia. I am a teacher from a family of teachers, and am trying to find the great creative teachers who will joyfully and playfully build a new way of learning. My journey has been finding ways of being connected to the powerful natural world and bring this to my students and colleagues.
My family brings m to the Andes mountains and the headwaters of the Amazon, where the bio-diversity of our planet is celebrated and lost. The animals and plants there are cradled with music, dance, sorrow and loss. How can I help? What are the deepest t questions we need to ask and work on? What does it mean to be human, to be spiritual, to b a steward, to be full of joy and gratitude for all that we have been given?
