Biography |
I am a sixth grade science and social studies teacher in Mount Airy, North Carolina. I’ve been teaching for 13 years and was a second grade teaching assistant for two years. For 22 years I worked in private industry as a systems developer and cost accountant for a quarrying and stone fabrication company, North Carolina Granite Corporation.
I am married, have two children and a son-in-law, and a rescue-dog named Roxy. We live out in the country where I enjoy gardening and taking walks in the woods. I play piano and a little guitar, and have been singing in church since the age of eight years old. The older I become, the more I love nature and teaching my students to enjoy the Earth and how to protect it for their children.
