Kathy Mendez is the Club Advisor of the GHS Roots & Shoots Club, a youth-led community service club founded by her hero, Dr. Jane Goodall. The club began at GHS in the fall of 2009. Some of the Club’s most prestigious accomplishments and projects includes the 9/11 and Thanksgiving Food Drives that serves hundreds of families annually, as well as partnerships with organizations such as Adopt-a-Dog, the Greenwich Alliance for Education, Neighbor to Neighbor, and the GHS Environmental Action Club, among others.
