Jonathan Kassibu.

         In  May 2008,I graduated first degree in political science and sociology  from university of Dar es salaam(Tanzania).

        Then in September 2008 to October 2012,I was employed as a teacher at Bwiru Girl’s High School, taught General studies. During this teaching career, I used my extra time as club Patron for Malihai, Roots and shoots and YUNA clubs (all of them were clubs for youth mobilization towards environmental awareness and practical conservation).

   Through my engagement with youth, I developed a dream of establishing an NGO for youth empowerment/activation and environmental restoration.

To realize my dream, I resigned as a full-time teacher to dedicate my full time to youth and environmental welfare. Fortunately! the organization (YEV) started in 2012

Since 2012 to date,I have initiated several projects on youth empowerment and environment restorations ,climate change mitigation and adaptation has been our great priority.

2013-2016,I served as  a coordinator at mwanza Policy initiative(MPI),MPI is  regional  network  based in Mwanza region,Tanzania,MPI has a membership of more than 50 NGOs around mwanza region.

       2015-Date,I serve as Regional Chairperson at Mwanza Regional Communication Consumers Consultative Council (TCRA-RCC).

2019-Date,I serve as National Coordinator/Focal Person at International one health for one planet education initiative (1 HOPE) specifically in Primary and secondary schools working groups.

2019-Date, Member of East Africa advisory group, 1HOPE primary and secondary schools working groups.

2020 June to date, A member of African 1HOPE Primary and secondary schools mobile facilitators Team.
