I am an elementary public school teacher, currently teaching 4th grade math and science at Cannella Elementary School in Tampa, Florida.  I have been teaching for 35 years in  grades 3,4, or 5.

Two years ago, our fourth grade classes began a garden with donated funds. The students enjoyed all of the learning experiences including planting, harvesting, observing, and sharing with the school community.

My colleagues and I want to continue these efforts because the experiences were  so socially and academically beneficial for the students.
