Jeunanne Alkins is designing a world in which children can grow up playing with iconography that feels like her island home. Channelling the spirit of her Caribbean childhood, she has thrown herself wholeheartedly into showcasing the little things that make these islands special, from a family-friendly point of view. Merging play with environmental and cultural education, Jeunanne is keen to not only share her love of the Caribbean but also to create a wider impact using design to positively affect how children learn. Jeunanne is a prize-winning creative director, author/illustrator, the creative director of design studio, Everything Slight Pepper and founder of the youth-focused non-profit, Bright Eyed Foundation.
