Biography |
I was born and raised in Germany and earned a PhD in Biology in Switzerland. With additional training in CrossCulture from the Swiss government I moved to Madagascar to build and lead project in biopesticides for agriculture. 5 years later, I moved to Burkina Faso and kick-started the same development there. In an effort trigger more donor willingness, I then moved to Canada, founded a biopesticide company and manufactured products for Canada and the USA. 8 years later, I was appointed to the position of government advisor and represented the Canadian government, farmers and industry within NAFTA and OECD. In 2012 I left Canada and moved back to Germany to be able to truly promote global cooperation at eye-level across the world. Today, I work on all continents and prevent or resolve problems that people are struggling with in farming, crop protection, processing and food or fiber trade. I have 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
