Shubhangi Kardile

Hi! I am Shubhangi from India. I am interested in astronomy, natural world, linguistics. I am very much interested in finding and doing my bit and encouraging others to do so for sustainable living on the earth for all (including us!).

Would like to raise awareness about the environmental issues, their impacts on, what we can and should do by writing in local newspapers and blogs.  I am a linguist by profession, involved in documenting linguistic practices of the minority communities. I would like to document their sustainable and not so sustainable practices, their responce to climate change, their attitude towards conflicts with tigers/leopards/elephants. So we all can learn somethings from the people who get immediately get affected by climate change and other calamities. Would like to join local group/s working on some environmental issue in the city I live in.

I would like to encourage others, especially youngsters to think critically but compassionately about earth and our way of living and take action where it can be made sustainable living, sustainable development. And I think I have found an ideal platform for this- roots & shoots. Here I can learn about what can be done, how it can be done, so I can take it to other people.
