Yeah, they don’t produce too much plastic, but still I think it could work. One time when we were out picking up trash we found one of targets plastic bags.

Yeah, good point. Everyone try to find a store near them that produces the MOST plastic, so like if target produces more waste then that would be a good choice.

I have never heard of shop rite, but I definitely have heard of Target (it’s near my house in Missouri). That would be a good choice, since they do use plastic bags. Unless we find another place… 🧐

Yeah, I think we should do the same store. Since if it was just one person for one, they might just say “Oh well ONLY 1 cares about this then we don’t need to change anything.”

You could also maybe write to your senators and request for them to put a small fee on plastic bags. Oh that’s a great idea Anna! And yes, we are trying to get people to limit their plastic bag usage, like having people pay for plastic bags.

We should do Target, but before we write a letter let’s make sure everybody is on board with Target. 🙂

We might need to plan a little about what we will say, and the way we want them to do on plastic bags, like should they ban it, or make people pay?

I’m good with Target, and I don’t think that Target would like the idea of making people pay, but banning it might work. Definitely trying to get them to reduce there plastic bags would help, because I don’t think the whole store would go plastic free, well maybe one day. How should we start writing our letters?

Hmm… or we could just suggest both choices in the letter. Banning it, or making people pay for it. That way, we aren’t limiting the way they should limit plastic bags.

Well it would be something like California where people need to bring a reusable bag (or Target could provide some) but then if a customer wants a plastic bag, they will have to pay a bit of money to be able to get the plastic bag (kind of like they have to buy it). That way, it will encourage most people to not use plastic bags.
