Biography |
I am a high school senior who loves to read, and spend time outside and with animals. When I was six, my dad brought home the 125th anniversary edition of National Geographic and I realized that my dreams of exploring the world and living with animals could exist outside of books or my own head. I have never liked school, it is too constrictive, but have always loved books and learning. In the fall, I will hopefully be studying anthropology and international studies at my university. I am not exactly sure what I want to be when I finish school, but maybe a primatologist, anthropologist, or other researcher.
Seeing our planet’s destruction is heartbreaking to me and I want to be able to help make a difference in more than just my small, individual actions like avoiding meat and plastic and buying locally. So often, I feel helpless when I watch the effects of the environmental crisis play out around me, and I don’t know what to do. I want to help create a safer, more sustainable future that protects the animals and places that need it most.
