| Biography |
Hi! My name is Dhilan, and I am a student at St. Mark’s School of Texas interested in the intersection of engineering physics, renewable energy, and environmental policy. Through One Sun Solar Initiative, I aim to develop practical solar technologies and expand access to clean energy in underserved Dallas communities. I am also developing SolarScout, an app that helps residents explore rooftop solar potential and potential electricity-bill savings. My scientific interests extend to astrophysics/energy through my research with Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, where I study the interiors and thermal energy evolution of rocky exoplanets orbiting different types of stars. Additionally, I serve on the Project Green Schools National Youth Council, contributing to youth-led environmental leadership and sustainability efforts, and am helping develop a sustainable rocketry team at my school that explores how environmentally responsible engineering can match or exceed conventional performance. Across these projects, I hope to combine scientific research, technological innovation, and public policy to address environmental challenges and create measurable benefits for my community.
