Biography |
I am a student of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, I posses a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, a minor in Biology, courses leading to Master Degree on Environmental Science and currently I’m taking a Certification in Secondary Education to become a Biology teacher.
I became a member of the Roots & Shoots groups in 2015. In 2017 I participated in representation of Puerto Rico on the Roots & Shoots Annual Gathering in Windsor, London and after I returned from that trip I decided to start different groups on Puerto Rico and we started visiting schools and talking to kids and young people about Dr. Jane Goodall.
In 2017 we created our first group in the South of the Island, in my university, and after that we have created 4 more groups for a total of 5 groups on the Island, two universities, two schools and one community. In 2019 we got invited to Atlanta, Georgia to present our projects to the National Youth Leadership Council of the USA. Currently we are working with our group of Roots & Shoots Ponce on the creation of a community garden in the backyard of the church of the community we live.
