| Biography |
As an elementary art teacher for almost 30 years, I have always introduced my students to the endless possibilities of repurposing materials in the art room. In 2016, I started a Green Club at my school and we became a Michigan Green School for the first time. All students at the K-4 school where I teach are involved and each year we participate in new activities that elevate our commitment to sustainability. This year, we received the 2024 U.S. Department of Green Ribbon Schools Award, a national recognition.
