Dear Roots and Shoots,

I am a filmmaker and next September (2020) Buckhorn Mineral Springs, a non-profit organization located in the Siskiyou Mountains in Ashland, Oregon, is sponsoring the Ashland Mother Earth Film Festival. We have a special category for students. We want to give our youth a venue in which they can be challenged and rewarded by showing a visual story about the environment, climate crisis, climate heroes, animals, beauty, justice, and Hope.  Our youth can grab their iPhones, video camera’s…their voice and vision ca change the world. They may have help from their school or parents to make a 2-5 minute film. There is a category for adults to include children in their environmental film.  Please let me know if Roots and Shoots has an interest in this festival. We would like a logo for an endorsement from R&S or “The Forest is Calling.”
