My personal mission statement is to help create a more just and equitable community and world. I believe education is the foundation to achieving this goal. That is why after 16+ years of laboratory science work in Academia, as well as the private sector, I shifted my focus towards education.
I always bring a passion and love of science and learning. I also have been able to draw on my past experience as a scientist to show students that science is about asking and answering questions. It is about creativity and often students that do not see themselves as scientists possess the greatest skills to be great scientists and add to our collective knowledge. I am so excited by the opportunity to offer this outlook to the amazing young people right here in my own community.
