Gregory Brownell

Born in a Albion N.Y, population 5500, family chicken farm and raised vegetables for family and sale – farm stand in front of house. Worked for local farmers. Went to college in Buffalo N.Y. Moved to Caneadea N.Y., very rural – very few paved roads, lots of poverty, foothills of the Appalachians – where the land meets the sky. Moved to Phoenix. Currently I am involved with urban agriculture, food systems, equitable development and STEAM education in local school system — lots of poverty and trauma. Hoping to use gardening to help alleviate trauma in elementary schools and promote civic engagement in the surrounding  neighborhoods.
